Comprised of industry veterans, all of our affiliated consultants combine practical strategies with an independent perspective that saves our clients time and money.
Lauren has built a thirty year career helping logistics companies and shippers navigate the unique challenges of international shipping and compliance. Her consulting services focus on 3PL selection and management, international air and sea transportation and customs and trade compliance. For 3PLs she also offers start up and strategic planning services on both a consulting and interim management basis.
Prior to starting Baker, Lauren held senior roles at leading freight forwarding firms where she managed in excess of $450 million in international freight, customs and contract logistics activity per year. Most recently the U.S. CEO for GEFCO Forwarding, Lauren is also experienced in addressing challenges faced by smaller start ups.
Her skill set includes: strategic planning, acquisition operational due diligence, customs and trade compliance, contract logistics, warehousing and cross docking, transport planning and carrier selection, facility planning, pricing and contract negotiations.
Lauren is a graduate of Harvard College and a licensed U.S. Customs House Broker.
Dennis Wilkinson is a Senior Consultant at Baker, based in New York. He leads Baker’s ocean freight sourcing, pricing and procurement practice. Dennis has over thirty years of ocean management experience at major ocean carriers and freight forwarders. He also owned and led his own freight forwarding company, Worldlink Logistics, Inc., for 18 years before selling it to DB Schenker.
Dennis works closely with Baker clients to understand their goals and requirements, and tailors procurement and pricing strategies to meet those goals. His business management expertise, problem solving skills and carrier relationships enable clients to expand their international business and serve new markets.
Dennis is an approved FMC Qualifying Individual, a veteran and a graduate of Akron University.
Jacqueline Russo brings an extensive background in business development, strategic marketing, brand development and operations to Baker Logistics Consulting. She works closely with clients from a variety of industries to improve their operations, grow their presence in overseas markets and increase customer and employee loyalty.
Jackie formerly held senior roles in the freight forwarding and custom brokerage industry. Most recently the Vice President, North America of Kuehne + Nagel’s Expo and Events business unit, Jackie has direct experience leading and developing a start up division from infancy to maturity.
With a background in international event management, Jackie is able to use her unique skills to secure alliances, develop sales leaders and improve processes. Her skill set also includes strategic planning, transport planning, customs and trade compliance, and pricing and procurement.
Jackie earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, graduated from the American University in Washington DC and is a licensed customs broker. The former Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, she was the 2010 recipient of that association’s “Legend of the Industry” award and 2016’s “Woman of Distinction”.
