ANNA ZAJAC, SENIOR CONSULTANT

Anna is a Senior Consultant focused on international tax and trade compliance. A C.P.A., Anna helps companies navigate complex global tax and duty requirements as well as U.S. export controls. At Baker, she brings to each assignment her experience from “Big Four” accounting firms as well as industry. Anna aids clients of all sizes and industries in managing business complexity and the impacts of change on trade compliance programs. She provides unique insights for import and export compliance, strategic management, and risk management.

Anna works with clients to develop and grow internal compliance programs, evaluate options to reduce import tariff expenses, qualify goods under free trade and government procurement agreement rules, and balance customs and income tax outcomes. Anna helps clients evaluate and implement customs bonded warehousing and duty drawback options. She also assists businesses in conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and in designing post-merger integration processes.

Anna earned an MBA and BS from the University of Maryland, and is a C.P.A., a licensed customs broker, and a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer.
